New RFID Technologies
Exploring the Future of RFID
RFID technology is evolving fast. New chips, smarter software and new regulations are changing how products are made, tracked and sold.
We follow emerging technologies closely and help businesses understand where the industry is heading, and what it means for them in practice.
Topics We Cover
Technologies We Follow
From proven tag technologies to the next generation of connected products.
Passive RFID
Battery-free UHF, HF and LF tags for low-cost item-level tracking.
Active RFID & RTLS
Battery-powered tags and real-time location systems for tracking assets and people.
NFC
Smartphone-readable tags for product authentication, customer engagement and access.
Digital Product Passport
Digital product data for traceability, sustainability and upcoming EU requirements.
Smart Packaging
Connected packaging for anti-counterfeiting, freshness monitoring and consumer interaction.
AI + RFID
Machine learning that turns RFID read data into predictions and automated decisions.
Industry 4.0
RFID as the identification layer for connected, automated production.
Digital Twin
Real-time virtual models of products, assets and processes fed by RFID data.
Cloud RFID
Cloud platforms that collect, manage and share RFID data across sites.
Edge Computing
Processing RFID data directly at the reader for faster, more reliable decisions.
RF Energy Harvesting
Sensors and devices powered by radio waves, with no battery to replace.
RFID Sensor Tags
Tags that measure temperature, moisture or tampering in addition to identification.
Our Specialty
Chip-to-Wire (CTW) Technology
In chip-to-wire production, the RFID chip is connected directly to a wire antenna embedded in the card or document material. The result is a very robust, long-lasting inlay used in ePassports, national ID cards, contactless payment and access cards. New developments in CTW focus on higher production speed, thinner and more flexible inlays and better security features for government ID documents.
Why Innovation Matters
What New RFID Technology Means for Your Business
Prepare for New Regulations
Requirements such as the EU Digital Product Passport will affect many industries. Early planning avoids rushed, expensive projects later.
Choose Technology That Lasts
Not every trend is ready for production. We help you separate proven solutions from hype before you invest.
